Hello to all! The committe for the Kaitlin M. Anzelone Memorial Foundation Annual Benefit is hard at work making preparations for the big night!! Here's the info:

Saturday, March 28, 2009
6:oopm-10:00pm at Kahuna's
Spicer & Pacific Aves. Wildwood, NJ
$20/ticket
for beef, beer, soda, water & lots of food!!

This is the one BIG event we do every year and so far, it has supported our contributions to the patients we help and to the five annual scholarships we give out. This is an especially hard year for lots of us with the bad economy, so we are working hard to get donations that we can give out as free doorprizes. So when you buy your tickets, be sure to give the committee person the stub with your name on it so you can win a prize!

Sometimes I think we should change the name of this foundation to the Kaitlin M. Anzelone and the entire Wildwoods/CMC Foundation because without all of you, there would be no foundation. The work of the volunteers involved and the caring and donations of our community is what has made Kait's wish for a foundation the reality that it has become today. I cannot even begin to thank those of you who help us. Just know that you are ALL special to our family...the Cooper/Anzelone families and special to the people that you have helped...not just with your donations and ticket buying, but with your caring, remembering and, especially, your prayers. So here's a MAJOR shout out to our "family" all of you..THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! WE LOVE YOU !

I have some new names to add to our prayer list. We will be visiting these people soon to see what the foundation can do to help them. Please remember in prayer: Randy, Jessica, Pat, Lauren, Jordan, Eddie, Ernie Sr., Garry, AJ, Edward and all of our military men and women.

God bless and hope to see you at the benefit!

The website has received a new look!!!!! Finally, we have gotten everything under control and Lauren will give you a short update on the posting process. I sure have missed talking to everyone.

The newest news: Angela Tecco ran a half marathon in Florida last week (on Feb. 15th) in Kait's memory and did GREAT. She also asked for sponsers and to date she has earned over $500 in donations for the foundation! Way to go, Ang! We are sooo proud of you! I will get her permission to post pics from the race and get Lauren to put them up for you all.

In December, Eryn Troiano ran her third annual bus trip to NYC for the foundation. We had a great time. Several of us got tickets to see White Christmas at the theatre and it was so awesome....didn't even need Bing in it! All we needed was the snow which I am sad to say didn't happen outside, but did in the theatre!!!! Watch for the bus trip next year! We are dropped off near Rockefellar Center and are on your own the entire day, so you can do what you want, shop, sightsee, go to the theatre, see the Rockets, and eat, eat, eat.....Eryn always plans the trip the first week after the tree is lit so we get a chance to see it and pose for pics!

Last June, we were able once again, to give out the five high school scholarships. We, also, helped three families have a little more festive Christmas holiday and gave gifts to quite a few people fighting cancer. How fortunate we are to be able to help!! It wouldn't happen without all of you and your hard work and generous donations!

The annual beef and beer benefit run by Kristen Visalli and members of the foundation was a huge success last April! It enabled us to give those gifts these last twelve months. I know alot of you contacted me saying you enjoyed having it at Kahuna's. So glad...'cause guess what?? It will be held there again this year on March 28th! (Always after basketball season). Info will be posted and posters will go up around town next week. We will be depending on ticket sales this year, so if anyone would like to help sell, please contact me. I know these are hard economic times for many of us, so we are trying to come up with some new ideas to be sure you get your moneys worth!!! Watch for the update!

As always, I would like to end this update with a prayer list. Please keep these special people in your heart and prayers. Privacy is protected with just first names and last initials. God knows who they are: Randy, Jessica, Pat E., Lauren M., Jordan, Eddie R., Ernie, Sr. and Garry.

Congrats to Kim and Ernie on the birth of that beautiful new baby boy and thank God mom and baby are healthy and happy!

...and a final thought, for those of you who ask and have prayed for my nephew, Bill...he and his bride, Lauren, are doing very well! Both are working hard and HEALTHY. Their story is a miracle in progress!!!! Thanks to God and a doctor who prays.....

Connie A. Hi, everyone! I guess the last time I posted here, I meant to update on Sept. 16, 2008 instead of a week later 'cause here I am, again, waaaay past updating in a timely manner!! There's not always alot to say and rather than bore you...Kait would never have had that problem, though! She always had lots to say!! So, let me catch you up on things....The Light the Night walk on the Wildwood boardwalk in September was a big success! Team Anzelone raised over $7,000 again and had over 100 walkers plus a trolley with Sons of Italy members riding along! Thanks to Joe for organizing the trolley and John Lynch for being the chair person for the walk for south Jersey! Another great job done by all! Thank you to all who worked, walked, donated and supported us!

MIRACLE! MIRACLE! MIRACLE! MIRACLE! MIRACLE! MIRACLE! MIRACLE!

Thanksgiving week 2007 was the best ever for our family, immediate and extended! My nephew, Bill, had surgery for the brain tumor that you all and we have been praying about. Dr. Kelly got all but a smidgen out after many hours and with minimal side effects for Bill! Talk about holding your breath! Bill is still doing physical therapy and doing very well and on Kaitlin's birthday, Feb. 21st, had another MRI, which showed NO tumor!!!! He still has some work to do and check ups to keep, but we will be dancing at Bill's and Lauren's wedding in Oct! All praise goes to God with thanks to Dr. Kelly, who listens to the Holy Spirit and God's guidance!

HAILEY IS A BIG SISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at 12:35 pm, Hailey became a big sister when her "brudder" Caden was born! He was 8 lbs. 9 oz and already at three months old (today) is just about fifteen lbs! He is a good baby and is adored by his big sis. We are posting one pic of them taken today. Mom, Dad and babies are doing well and learning to adjust to the chaos of...baby makes four!

February hasn't been a pleasant month for me. On the 6th, I had a fall in our back yard and broke my left arm and shoulder. After surgery and four days in the hospital, I'm home working on healing and physical therapy. The days are really boring!!!!!!!...cause I'm not allowed to do much but watch tv. So, needless to say, I'm anxious to get well soon because Kristen V. has begun the planning for the annual Kaitlin Anzelone Foundation benefit. Anyway, here's the info for all of you interested:

Hello everyone. We are sorry that it has been a while since we last updated the site. It has been a busy time. Everyone that supported the beef and beer, we thank you and hope to see you at next year's event. It was a success and will allow us to continue helping others in our area who are undergoing treatment for cancer and to provide scholarships to the local high schools.

On July 5th we marked the 2nd anniversary of Kaitlin's passing. It is still hard to believe that it has been over two years. Your prayers and continued support help all of us get through the times that are still difficult. It's always such a good feeling when someone approaches one of us to talk about Kait. Nice to know she is still real to people.

We are all doing well, busy with our daily routines, and, of course, with our jobs. MomMom (Connie) has "retired" temporarily from nursing and is taking care of little Hailey bean while her mom and dad are at work. We have celebrated birthdays for Jenn and Lauren in the last two months and Connie's mom turned 82 years young yesterday! Life does go on...

Last year, Team Anzelone made over $7000 for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society with their Light the Night Walk that is held at the Wildwood Convention Hall. Well, it's been 12 months and the walk is next Saturday, Sept. 15th at 7pm, same place. We still have blue Team Anzelone teeshirts if you would like to join us. We hope to break the record but more importantly, we hope to add a few more walkers to our team. Last year we had over 100 people. To learn about the walk, you can go to www.lightthenight.org If you need walker collection envelopes, Connie has some, just call (522-3805) and she'll drop one off to you. Hope everyone can come this year. John Lynch is heading the south Jersey portion of the walk and has organized a party for afterwards at the Montego Bay in No. Wildwood after the walk. If you can join us, that would be great!

P.S. They made Kaitlin one of their honored heroes this year for the walk thanks to John Lynch!

Now from Connie:

We are putting our prayer requests out there again for you all to have and ask that you remember those in need of prayer. We, especially, ask that you remember our nephew, Bill, as he returns to New York tomorrow for brain surgery on Tues. 9/11/07. The cyst continues to grow and must be drained again. This is tremendously risky surgery! Please remember Bill's mom and dad, Cecilia and Bill, his fiance, Lauren and his brothers and sister, also. It's tough living under the constant stress, worry and fear when a beloved family member is sick and they need all the support they can get, especially prayer. The Fisher family just lost their precious grandmother, Margaret (Peg), this past month and could, also, use some extra prayer...Please continue to keep in your prayers the following: Shirley, Jessica, Max, Randy and his mom, Ros, Cheryl, Alex, Jordan, Lauren M., Pat E., Miriam, RAR, Henry, Celinda and the Jos. Wald family. Good news is that little Katelin Jane is doing well, our friend Jen's wedding went well and she is now a married woman! and "God is so good..." as Hailey sings with the Veggie Tales. Thank you all again for you continued support with Kait's foundation and the walk and just for being there for us. God bless you all.

Next update will be September 16, 2007.

Hi everyone! Just a reminder...the benefit for Kait's foundation is this Saturday, May 5th from 6pm-10pm at Michael's in Wildwood. There will be doorprizes, a chinese auction, vacations to win and 50-50s. We will be taking a special 50-50 for Joe Wald (dx with cancer). There will be a live broadcast by oldies 94. Thanks to all of you who are donating and selling tickets. We will once again be giving out 5 scholarships to the area high schools in May and we have already visited and gifted quite a few of bedridden or hospitalized cancer patients. All with thanks to you!!!

I'm hoping to see lots of you on Saturday. Miss Hailey will be there along with some of her friends who are bringing their parents and grandparents, so we should have a really good time.

God's blessings on you all and, please add to our ongoing prayer request a young man named Drew, little Samantha, and Lisa, Mike and their new baby.

Till Saturday!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! We have all been sooooo busy these lasts 6 weeks! Jenn bought a house (she told Hailey it was for her!) so we have all been helping with packing and painting and babysitting to get them moved in soon. It has certainly been hectic around here. Talk about sore muscles! I think my right shoulder is in the definite holding Hailey pattern! She is doing great! She has a charming personality (although at the moment she is going through the normal stranger anxiety syndrome-ask Mr. Davenport!). She is such a flirt and definitely has her PopPop wrapped around all ten of her fingers! She is, also, getting so tall. You should all be able to meet her at the 3rd annual B & B for Kait's Foundation on May 5th. I'm sure she'll be there holding court!! The Beef and Beer will be at Michael's in Wildwood on Saturday, May 5, 2007. There will be tons of food and a Chinese auction and doorprizes and music and lots of fun. Ticket prices will be the same as last year- $20/person and remember the proceeds go the Kait's foundation. Last year we were able to give scholarships through your generousity to ALL 5 of the area high schools! I will have a criteria for the scholarships at the B & B if anyone is interested in seeing it. If anyone would like to help with the B & B, just let me know. We would love to have all of you involved. Please remember to keep praying for those on our prayer list. So many people have told me how they appreciate and feel our prayers. A quick update on a few, Brandon is doing better. He is off the crutches and cane and definitely improving, but still has a way to go. My nephew, Bill, has returned to school and his last MRI shows no new growth to the tumor! What a miracle!! Please continue to pray for RAR, Pat E., Miriam and Peggy Fisher and the Fisher family. We, also, have on our list Shirley, Jessica, Max, Randy, Rosalie, Cheryl, Alex, Jordan, Lauren M., Celinda, Diana, Suzie M, and little Katelin Jane (who I understand is doing much better!). Congratulations to Marie and her little baby boy. Thank God for another safe delivery!..and special prayers for another new young mom who will need surgery in the very near future (I won't release her name till I get the ok to put it here, but God knows who she is!) and I certainly cannot forget Steve R. Get better, big guy!!! Thanks to all who have prayed for us. Things are a little easier, but in April it will be 21 months since Kait left us for Heaven. I miss her more and more and more. It seems that everyday there is some little thing that reminds me of her, or something she would say, or a song or her laugh. I try to think that she is only "a breathe away" like in Josh Grobin's song and that makes it a little easier. But if it weren't for faith and prayer and, especially knowing Kait had the faith, I don't know how we would have walked this painful path. Thanks again...the prayers are what we all need in this life more than anything in the world. So God bless each and every one of you and know..every night, I thank God for all of you and pray that God puts His healing hand on each of us in the way we need it. Till next time...

I really have no excuse for not writing these last four months, other than for some reason, it has become very difficult for me to even look at the site. Thanks for your patience with me and for not deserting the site when I have fallen down on the job! I will really try to do better!

If I update you all on EVERYTHING that has been happening the last four months, this thing will run on for hours, so for today, I will just give you all some highlights.

First of all, I just received the final total for the Light the Night walk in Sept (Leukemia/Lymphoma) and Team Anzelone made just over $6900.00!

We were about $300 short of last year, but, heh, that's ok! In two years, we have raised over $13,000.00 for cancer!! Awesome!

I want to thank everyone for their unending prayers for my nephew, Bill. The benefit was a huge success, but more than anything, it made Bill and his family realize how loved they are with the tons and tons of people who came to support it. This is the BEST community in the entire world!

Thank you all so very, very much! Bill is done with chemo for now and, per the doc, will be returning to Villanova in March. He will be watched very closely for any changes in his condition and we will be praying for some NEW chemo drugs that would totally eradicate this type of thing for Bill and all others that are fighting these brain tumors. I just ask that you continue to keep him in your prayers.

I don't know if many of you know that Bill's brother, my nephew Brandon, has been laid up since January 1st after a skiing trip. He broke his pelvic bone near the hip area, had surgery, was in horrendous pain and is now recuperating at home. There are pics of Brandon on the website if you don't know him. He is doing better now, but will have several more months of recuperating to go.

Congrats go out to our dear Christopher and his wife, Nikki on the birth of their beautiful new son, Adrian, and to little Jadan, who I hope likes his brother even more than he likes Spiderman.

Watch for the mail, Jadan! Love and prayers to you all!

As many of you know, we lost another dear friend recently. Bill Fisher was a favorite of Kait's and all I can think of is that the two of them are having a major good time in Heaven! I bet she was there to greet him along with his family members! Please pray for Sue and the children, Peg and Bill, Joe and the rest of Bill's family members. Unfortunately, I know from experience that grief is a LOOOONG ongoing experience and everyday is difficult and different in the grieving process. Bill was so proud of his children and the one legacy he left them was his pride in them and his love for them. What else in this world really matters?!

Congrats go out to the Lady Warriors for beating the WHS record for most undefeated wins at 16-0!!!! Great job, Ladies! You continue to make us proud...

We will begin working on the annual (3rd-can you believe it?) Beef and Beer for Kait's foundation soon and I will post the plans and dates as soon as I know. Last year, we gave out scholarships to all the area high schools and I am hoping we can continue that every year. Thanks to all of you who buy tickets for the B&B, we were able to do so last year.

Well, before I bore you all, I'll list our prayer requests and end for now. Thanks for your love and patience...

Please continue to pray for Bill C., Shirley, Jessica, Max, Randy, Rosalie, Cheryl, Alex, Jordan, Lauren M., Celinda, Diana, Suzie Mc. and I am adding Brandon, Miriam, RAR, Pat E., and a brand new little soul, Katelin Jane, who is having some trouble remembering to breathe. If I could learn to post pics, I could show you what a cutie pie she is, but please, keep her high on your prayer list and her family too! Also, the Fisher family and Mary and Eddie.

God's blessings on everyone of you who so graciously continue to support us and my precious Kaitlin's memory. It means EVERYTHING to me and to Rick, Jenn and Lauren. Next update will be about our little Hailey Kaitlin and her busy life!!! Love to all!

Connie
September 26, 2006

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Light the Night walk on Saturday night!!! What a turnout! We had people from all over, even those who traveled from a distance! Not only was it a wonderful tribute to Kaitlin, it shows how blessed we are to live in such a wonderful community.

Again, thank you all so very much for the support. I am sure that the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society will be pleased with the research money we raised and as soon as I have totals I'll let you all know.

I am still collecting donations through the end of October when the walk officially ends.

Lauren is going to post pictures on the site that John Lynch (from the Convention Center) sent her. Thank you, John for the pics! You will recognize many people...we are in the blue! It turned out to be a beautiful night for the walk. The skies were clear, the lights were bright and it was really nice to see all the walkers from all the teams make their way down the boardwalk. We got quite a few inquiries as to what it was all about and several people told us of loved ones they lost or who had battled cancers. Now they want to get involved! Special thanks to Bill F., Shirley, Jessica and Max who came out to walk.

I would love to go down the list and thank each and everyone of you who went out of your way to help with the walk and then walked, too! But I know that I would miss someone, so I don't want to do that. Hopefully, I got to most of you. Just know that we love all of you and really are so touched that you would do this for our Kaitlin's memory. It's wonderful to know that she is not forgotten. Our prayer list is ongoing and I have added some new requests. Please keep the Stires family in your prayers as Sept. 18th was one year that Gregory went to Heaven. I know that this time period is almost as bad as the original day. Again our list includes: Billy C., Bill F., Shirley, Jessica, Max, Randy, Rosalie C., Cheryl, Alex, Susie Mc., Jordan, Lauren M., Celinda, Diana, and Borneman family, Mikey O. family, Hartle, Cestone, Raucci and Karen B. families.

We are going to try to put a block on the site so that we don't get those scam things, so I'll keep you posted on that. Don't forget to check out the pics. I'll update next Sunday! God bless!

September 22, 2006

Hi everyone! I feel like I am forever apologizing for not updating the site. I have been sooo sick with a head cold that went into otitis media externa (swimmer's ear) for the last two+ weeks and have not felt like doing anything. I feel a lot better today and, hopefully, will be great tomorrow for the walk. So, up to date info on the walk...

If you have gotten sponser money and would like to get it to me today or tomorrow before 5pm, call me on my cell 609-425-5641 and Rick or I will pick it up for you so that we can get it in the team envelope before the walk. It really saves alot of confusion at the walk, remember last year?! If not, I will be at the convention center from 5pm till 7pm to put all the money together and I will see you there. We will, also, have some Team Anzelone shirts left to sell there. Only sizes 2xl, xl and lg are left. They are $10 each and the money goes into Kait's foundation fund. If anyone wants to come back to the house after the walk, you are more than welcome. We will be having some pizza and visiting with our out of town friends.

I hope to see you all at the Wildwood Convention Center tomorrow night at 7pm for the walk. Please find me if I don't see you. I will update the prayer request this weekend. Love to all and, always, God's blessings!

Connie
September 5, 2006

Hi, everyone! Hope your Labor Day was relaxing! I am certainly enjoying this cooler weather. This time of year always feels like it is the beginning of the year to me, more so than January. I guess from all those (26 years) first days of school. Believe it or not, Moms, I miss those hectic days!! Good luck and good health in this "new year!"

I want to update everyone regarding the Light the Night Walk on September 23, 2006. It will be held at the Wildwood Convention Center and registration is between 5pm-7pm. The walk starts at 7pm sharp and is only one mile on the boardwalk. We have a banner to carry and the leukemia/lymphoma society gives us balloons to carry for the walk. The money donated goes for research of these blood cancers, hopefully to find a cure in our lifetime. Last year, on very short notice, we raised over $7200 in Kaitlin's memory! I would love to see us exceed that this year. We, also, had over 100 people show up to walk, most in their bright yellow and orange shirts! It was totally awesome! Our community in the Wildwoods is the BEST anywhere!

This year, we have ordered shirts in the No. Carolina blue (Chapel Hill's Michael Jordan) and royal blue for the lettering. That was Kait's favorite color! There is no date on them so we will be able to wear them every year after this if you want. The cost is $10 each, no matter what size, and any extra money will go into the foundation for future scholarships. So, this is a kind of fundraiser, too. I have ordered extra shirts, so just let me know what you need and I will bring any leftovers to the walk.

If you have not registered with the Light the Night Walk under Team Anzelone, please let me know and I will add you to my list and get the sponser envelopes out to you. Remember, you just have to get friends, family, businesses, coworkers, whoever to give you a couple of dollars each and you have your sponsers. No prerequired amounts! If you get checks, make them out to The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society or to me and I will write a check to them. Whatever is easier for you. If you would like to get sponsers, but can't make the walk, just call me or email and I will pick up the money for you. Thank you to all who are walking, donating and getting involved. It may not bring our Kait back, but we may help to save some other lives!

CANCER SUCKS and needs to be obliterated! This past month cancer claimed the lives of three beautiful people who fought long and hard and won the victory of eternal life with our Lord! Alice B., George H., and Mikey O. have left behind the legacies of hard fought and heroic battles with this disease. They will always be remembered and loved. Please pray for their families as they walk through the dark days ahead.

One last thing...there is a fundraiser for the Steven Scholz Scholarship this Sunday afternoon at the Wildwood Bowling Alley for $10/person. Steven was killed in a car accident last summer and his family would like to give a college scholarship to a senior at his alma mater in his memory. I believe the event starts at 3pm. Hope to see you all there!

We thank you all for you prayers and ask that you continue to get on your knees for the following: Bill C., Bill F., Shirley, Jessica, Randy, Max, Cheryl, Robert, Alex, Susie Mc., Jordan, Lauren M., Rosalie R., and the families of Borneman, Mikey O., Hartle, Cestone, Stires, Richter/Ruark, Karen B., Kristen V., Scholz and Raucci. Our only power is through prayer, so let's make it super-strong! God bless you all.

Hi everyone. I am going to do a quick update for the Lymphoma/Leukemia Light the Night Walk. My mom will send a better update later this week. So here goes.
The walk is the night of September 23rd at 7:00 pm. The meeting place is the Wildwood Convention Center, and our team will meet right out front of the doors.
We will be ordering new shirts this year in UNC Blue with royal blue lettering. There will be a picture of Kait and team Anzelone displayed on the shirt. The shirts will cost $10 each, sizes are S to XXL. Please have orders in by September 5th. Anything ordered in advance will be dropped off by the 23rd. We will have extras at the Convention Center but they will be limited so please order in advance. Please contact my mom with your orders by phone or email, connieanz54@hotmail.com. We look forward to seeing everyone again and always appreciate the support and prayers from everyone. It never gets easier but knowing we have such a wonderful and extensive supporting family helps.
Please remember those important people in our lives who could use a little support and prayer also: The Borneman Family, The Hartle Family, and Mikey O’s Family as Alice, George and Mikey have all gone home to be with the Lord these past few weeks. Please don’t forget the regular prayer list. I hope to see everyone next month.

August 8, 2006

Hello everybody! It has been a really HOT last couple of weeks, but now seems that it may cool off for a little while. It has been too hot even for the beach!!! Tourist time is busy down here. Lauren is working many hours and Jenn has been very busy at work, also. I am moving at such a slower pace for me this summer. I babysit our beautiful Hailey girl when Jenn and JC are at work and I work at the doctor's office every other weekend. It has been different. I'm not used to being at home this much!!

My nephew, Bill, still is in need of extreme prayers. He is still having chemo, but the doc believes that the surgery for the tumor, which is deep in the brain stem, will have to come out surgically. The risks are unbelievable because of the size and location of the tumor. The brain stem is the area of the brain that controls the involuntary functions of our body, like breathing and body temp, etc. So, please keep him in your prayers along with the docs, nurses, staff, etc.

Hailey is doing very well! She is over 16 lbs. and is the most pleasant baby ever. She smiles when you speak to her and is already flirting with the men in her life!! She certainly has all of us wrapped around those little fingers. She is beginning to talk with little coos and laughs right out loud when she thinks something is funny! Jenn and JC are wonderful parents! That little girl is seldom without one of them and when she is, more than likely it's MomMom or Aunt Ceil. Speaking of Aunt Ceil, she has just become a great aunt for the second time...Carli and Kevin Quinn's little girl, Nola, was born on August 2nd. Congrats to the new mom and dad and grandparents, Nina and Chuck & Bill, Michelle and Chalie. I haven't seen her yet, but I hear she is gorgeous! Thank God that Mom and baby are doing well!

The walk for Light the Night will be on Sept 23 on the Wildwood boardwalk. They suggest meeting around 6pm. I will be ordering shirts with Kait's picture on it. If you are interested in buying one, I will get info out there right after I speak with the company who makes them for us. I will also have sponser sheets available in the next week and will get them to whoever would like to walk. It is only one mile, not far at all on the boards. Last year, we had over 100 people and made over $7000 for the leukemia society. Hopefully, we will top that this year!

We have some real need for prayer at this time. I don't want to invade anyone's privacy so I will just list names. *next to a name will suggest that extra prayer is needed for healing or some acute need at this time. I do thank all of you for your prayers. They are the one thing that we can do for one another that really brings the comfort only He can provide. Thanks to all and may God bless us...each and every one.

Please pray for *Bill C., *Bill F., *Shirley, *Mikey O., *Cheryl, *Alice, *George H., *Robert, Jessica, Max, Randy, Suzie M., Alex, Jordan, Lauren M., Lynn Cestone family, Stires, Richter/Ruark family, *Karen B., Kristen V. family, *Raucci family, and Fisher family. Please pray for the Out of the Darkness walk in Chicago this weekend (American Foundation for Suicide Awareness). Dr. Richard Renza will be walking in memory of his precious, Richelle. MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR KAITLIN
WEDNESDAY, JULY 5 @ 7PM
COLD SPRING CEMETARY

I went back on the website to this day last year to read the update and everything came back like I was still sitting at Johns Hopkins. We were soooo looking for a miracle that day, never knowing that in 48 hours our precious Kait would be with the Lord and no longer with us.
I cannot believe that one year is almost here. I'm still waiting for Kait to come home. I guess that means I'm still in denial that she won't be. We all miss her so much!! I still listen for her car to pull up, only Rick is driving it, and when I walk in her room, her Tiff's necklace and bracelot that Donna and Eryn gave her are still on her table where she left them in April. There are still clothes in her hamper, but they don't smell like her anymore.
If you get a chance, go back and read Pastor Rudy's article on Kait (I think it was around July 13, 2005). It makes her so real, in words, you almost think she is going to be sitting next to you reading it. I would give anything...

I am beginning to feel as though every time I update this site, I have only bad news to pass on. Once again, we need prayer for a friend, Bill Fisher, who has just been diagnosed with some brain lesions. He is in Jefferson Hospital and I have his permission to ask you all to pray for him and his family. Bill is a retired Chief of Police from Wildwood. When I talk to him or his wife, Sue, next, I will ask them for more info for the next update. Meanwhile, please pray for them all as this was another shocker!
My nephew, Bill, had chemo again since my last update. I ask for your continued prayers for him and all of the family. No other news yet.
Randy (see Kait's website) has posted on his webpage that his mom was just diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. Please add her to your prayers. She is a wonderful woman who sends me notes of encouragement since Kait met Randy via the internet. Only God knows why these things keep happening...
Since I am just kind of rambling here, I am going to post the prayer list and ask you all to bear with me during this time. I'll post again next weekend. Please, please know that without all of the support of our families and friends and the wonderful people of the Wildwoods, we would never have gotten through this last year. We thank you for caring and showing your love with the posts, cards, calls and flowers, the support of the benefit and every other way that you have helped us. May the good Lord give us each what we need every day, His love, mercy and caring and may He especially give us all His peace!!!

Please keep these precious ones in all our prayers:

Bill Cooper III & family
Bill Fisher & family
Randy, his mom & family
Jessica, Max, Shirley, Mikey O., Robert, Cheryl, Suzie, Mr. Hartle, Jordan, Lauren, Alex, Grace, PopPop Rossi, Mary Rossi, Jackie R., the Stires, Bowers, Scholz, Richter/Ruark, Thompson, Thomas, Karen B., Kristen V., Raucci families and Lynn's family. Hope I didn't miss anyone. If I did, let me know. God's blessing only on all of you. Till next week...we LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!

Hi everyone! I know that it's been a looong time since I updated. It's been a difficult month for a lot of reasons...but I want to bring you all up to date on the happenings here at the shore.

First and foremost THANK YOU ALL for your support of Kait's benefit on May 6th. We raised enough money to give out all the scholarships to the five local high schools!!! How awesome is that? We have, also, helped out a few cancer patients with some small gifts. Kait would have loved it! The benefit made all of that possible- PLUS!

Thanks for praying for Ryan and Elizabeth. Little Ryan Edward Troiano, Jr. was born healthy and handsome!! Mom and Dad are doing well and everyone is settling in fine. Now Hailey has a boyfriend! They have already had some playtime together! Hailey is now over 13 pounds, a real porker. I know Lauren will be adding some new pics to the site soon. Maybe we'll get some updated with her Mom and Dad, too. Also, Greg Stires' sister, Eva and husband, Michael had a little girl, Arianna in May. Congrats to all!!!

Sad, sad news. Lynn, on the prayer list, passed away this last month from cancer. Her family did get to spend time with her and they know that she is with our Lord. Please continue to pray for them. Also, very sad news.

A special young man, whose father taught Kait, and whose family is very well known in our community, passed away this last month also. Doug Raucci was a very happy and caring and popular person, well loved by everyone in our community. He will be missed, not only by his family, but by so many people in our town. Please pray for the Raucci family. Kait loved Dougie and he loved her. I know our Kait met Dougie in Heaven with arms held open wide and that beautiful smile on her face.

The faculty at Crest Memorial School have created a beautiful award in Kaitlin's memory called the Kaitlin Anzelone Spirit of Acceptance Award. It was given out on graduation night to an eigth grade graduate who met the criteria of the award which was accepting people for who they are as an individual, not based on culture, race, gender, etc. Ms. Guavara, who presented the award that evening, said about the recipient ,"that everyone he meets is a friend." How wonderful is that! The recipient was a young man, Kyle Raucci, who is Dougie's younger brother! What a special night it was!!!

I would like to update the prayer list. There are needs everywhere and if you have someone you would like to add, you can call me or email me (address is listed in one of the old updates) and I will be happy to add it.

Thank you all for your support through these last 19 months. We really appreciate all your love and prayers.

I've had many people asking about my nephew, Bill. The tumor has grown and he goes for another chemo treatment tomorrow. Please keep him in your prayers along with the docs, nurses, etc. I don't mean to skip through info about him, but I need to ask him about putting anything else on the site which I will do before the next update. Just know that he can use prayer.

We will be having a short service of remembrance at Kaitlin's grave on July 5th...one year. I'm not sure of the time, yet, probably after dinnertime. Anyone who would like to attend is more than welcome. I'll give you a time as soon as I know.

Here's the prayer list. God bless you all for your continued prayer support...
Bill, Jessica, Max, Shirley, Randy, Mikey O., Cheryl, Suzie M., Mr. Hartle, Jordan, Lauren M., Robert D., Alex, Grace, PopPop Rossi, Mary, Jackie R., the Stires family, the Richter/Ruark family, the Thompson, Bower, Scholz, L. Thomas, Karen B., Kristen V. families. and, please, pray for our Edward, who is in the military finishing his training. Congrats and prayers to Kelly B. and Tony T. for graduating nursing school! Congrats to Christina, Trevor, Leah, Carolyn, Kyle and Brad for their grads, too! Thanks again to you all and God bless!

A little update...Hailey is doing great! She now weighs 10 lbs. 4 oz! She will be at the B & B, probably snoozing away, but you'll all be able to take a peek at her. She will be a month old on May 5th. She looks like her Daddy with huge, bright, blue eyes and a little dimple in her chin. She melts our hearts!!!
There will be a book at the B & B to sign with your email address &/or your home address. Please do!! We are hoping to start an e-letter/newsletter that will print every 3 months to keep everyone updated as to events, prayer lists, etc. We would really like to get that started within the next month. We'll have lots of news to share like "who got the scholarships?" and "how much did we raise for the Light the Night walk?", info about new shirts for the walk, and more. We'll, also, ask for some guest writers for input! So, please think about joining us for this new venture.
We met a new friend, Max,at Cooper University Hospital, whom we are hoping makes the B & B on Saturday night. He is a very special young man who is, also, battling the horrible leukemia. He has such a beautiful personality and fabulous talent as a painter. If you get a chance to talk with him on Saturday, you'll see what I mean. We need to keep him in our prayers as well as all our special people on Kait's list:

Billy, Jessica, Max, Shirley, Mikey O., Cheryl, Lynn, Suzie M., Mr. Hartle, Jordan, Lauren M., Robert D., Alex, Grace, PopPop Rossim, the families of the Stires, Richter/Ruark, Thompson, Bower, L.Thomas, Karen B, Kristen V and another friend having surgery, Margaret. We continue to ask for prayer for Liz and Ryan and the new baby they will soon be sharing their home with and a special Happy Birthday to Christopher!
Thanks everyone for being here for us! I know those on the prayer list really appreciate knowing that it's out there for their support. We know God hears us and answers us ALWAYS! If you or anyone you know would like to be added to the prayer list, let us know. My numbers have been listed on other updates. Till Saturday, God bless...

Hi everyone! What a beautiful day it was today! I was remembering this time last year when Kait was still at home and we made everyday count! Thank God we did. She had a wonderful month being with family, visiting her friends, hanging out, shopping and eating whatever she pleased. Of course, if you go back and read her blogs, you will remember how excited she was about the upcoming benefit that was held for her at Michael's in Wildwood and how thrilled she was after. She told us that it was one of the best times in her life! Originally, when we all talked about doing the benefit as a yearly event, we thought Kait would be here to be a part of the foundation that she so badly wanted to form to help all cancer patients. But according to God's plan, that is not to be, so her foundation will be in her memory to help those patients, but, also, to benefit the five local high schools in the county. We are planning to give a scholarship in her memory to each school BEGINNING this year! So...we'll need your help supporting the benefit. Here's the info. again:

BENEFIT FOR KAITLIN M. ANZELONE FOUNDATION
MICHAEL'S @ BURK AND NJ AVES
WILDWOOD, NJ
SATURDAY, MAY 6
6PM-10PM
$20/TICKET

There will be a SILENT AUCTION, 50-50, tons of FOOD & DESSERTS, PICTURES, MUSIC, FRIENDS & MORE!! So, please come if you can. Tickets are available at Michael's or call 522-3805 or 780-7912 for delivery! If you would like to donate dessert or something for the auction, please call the numbers above, also. Thanks again for all the help and support!

Last year, Kait's elementary school, Crest Memorial, had "Fun Friday" which is a night of food and activities to raise money for the Robin Thompson Scholarship (see Fun Friday under pictures on home page of this site). Last year, the committe split the money between Kaitlin and Lauren Mulholland (another Wildwood Crest resident & friend of Kait's) and for that we, again, thank you all so very much. Kait enjoyed that night watching all the action "live" via her computer from Hahnemann Hospital and was so thrilled with the posters, cards and good wishes that Mrs. Groon brought her after the event. It made her feel so loved by all of you...so anyone out there who wasn't aware of this special night, it will be held this Friday evening at Crest Memorial School. There is a small admission fee which goes to the scholarship, but well worth the money to watch all the kids and adults participate in the activities and having FUN!!. We plan on being there for at least part of the night to participate in some of the activities. Hope to see you all there!

I can't sign off without reminding everyone of Kait's prayer list. Please check the last update and add to the list Rex and family and extra prayers for Mr. Hartle and family. God bless you all. Hope to see you at Fun Friday and the benefit for Kait's foundation! Love to all!!!

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE! HE IS RISEN!!...and because He lives, so shall we!! I hope you all had a blessed and healthy holiday. We enjoyed ours, especially with our new, beautiful Hailey. She makes a wonderful addition to our family. I, also, would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Missy, my sister-in-law. She made dinner for us all today for Easter ON HER BIRTHDAY, when it should have been her day to relax. Thank you, Miss. You are the best! I took over a bunny cake that I had made for dessert. It was all vanilla with coconut for fur and licorice for whiskers and jelly beans for eyes, and my little 5 year old niece, Tori, told me that she didn't want any because she didn't like the "hard cheese" that was on the cake! So she had the giant flower cut out of the birthday cake that her dad,Tony, surprised Missy and me with for our birthdays. Tori entertained us all afternoon. She is such a fun kid and we love her so much! I, also, had another surprise from my nephew, Joseph (Bill and Ceil's son). He made himself up to look like a bunny rabbit as a joke on me. I'll have to see if I can get some copies of the pics and post them for you all. (Told you paybacks are rough, Joe!). So all in all, we got through another holiday without our Kait. She was missed all day long. I don't know when this gets easier to handle, but just when I think I'm doing ok, then I get the breath knocked out of me remembering last year or other times we had as a family. These are the days when I have to take it minute by minute. Thanks to my family today for helping us get through another tough one. Last year, Kait was on the boards, eating Sam's pizza, hanging with her friends and we had lots of hope for the future. Who knew she would be spending Easter with Jesus this year? I know she had a wonderful Easter.

We have the tickets out for the beef and beer for May 6th. You can contact me, Kristen Visalli or Lauren for tickets. We will be giving them to others to sell, also, so keep your ears and eyes open. Remember, not only will this allow us to give scholarships to all five high schools in the county (and CMS), we will be able to start making some visits to Cooper and Hahneman Hospitals to some cancer patients that could use some cheering up. I will give you more details in the next update.

I wanted to give you the updated prayer list since I didn't list it in the last update. Thank you so much for all your prayers for Jenn and baby Hailey. She is such a good baby and Jenn and JC are the best parents! We are truly blessed that all went well! So here's the updated list:

Billy, Jessica, Grace, Randy, Shirley, Mikey O., Cheryl, Lauren M., Lynn, Suzie M., Mr. Hartle, Jordan, PopPop Rossi, Robert D., Alex, Richter/Ruark families, Stires, Thompson, Scholz, Bower, Chema families and ther families of Lisa Thomas and Karen B. I would like to add one of Kait's best friends, Elizabeth (better known as Liz) and her husband, Ryan, who are due to have their baby in May. Please keep them in your prayers for a safe delivery and a healthy mom and baby! I would, also, like to close with thanks to the Goldstein family for their gift to us this evening. How nice of you to think of us today. May your family make precious memories together during this passover season! God's blessings on all...till next week's update...

Hi, everybody! It has been a really busy week! Little Hailey is finally here and today she came home with her mommy and daddy. She is just the cutest little thing! The pictures you've seen so far don't even do her justice! JC is going to get some new pics to us in the next couple of days so that Lauren can get them up for you all. Thanks for the calls, posts and cards. We are saving them for Hailey so she will have them when she is all grown up. She know about all the wonderful family and friends she has when she sees them. So thanks again for all your interest and support to our family.

I am keeping this short tonight, but will update again after the weekend. I wanted to get on the site asap an emergency request for prayer for our friend, Mikey O. Kait had put his website address on her site many months ago. Docs have found another tumor on his spleen, but worse than that is the fact that they don't know if he has long here, because they are not sure that the chemo (which he starts today) will even help. Please, pray for him tonight for that chemo to work. I believe that you can send messages through the website if you would like. He truly is in for the fight of his life and we can help with prayer. Thanks for your help.

More details after Sunday about our precious Hailey, please remember my nephew, Billy, in your prayers, and, of course, our entire prayer list. Thanks again and God bless all of you.

STILL WAITING!!!!!!!!! Baby Anzelone must be very content where she is, because so far, she shows no signs of venturing out into our world! Jenn looks happy and glowing, but she is getting tired. Yesterday, we all helped to get some things arranged around her apartment. I was joking with Rick and said that when mommies-to-be are close to delivery time, they "nest" getting their home ready for the new arrival. It must be an instinctual thing. Well, I believe Jenn is "nesting" but in her case, it is nesting delegator! She delegated and we all nested for her. JC and Rick hung key holders and put winter things away in the attic and I re-arranged the kitchen to make room for baby bottles, sterilizers, etc. She is very good at delegating (!) Anyway, the apt is ready for our new baby girl. We are all just waiting and Jenn is trying to get some rest, because she hasn't gotten any since she left work. I will post or have Lauren G post ASAP when our newest family member makes her appearance. Please pray for a safe delivery. Thank you, Lord, for this newest blessing!

My nephew, Billy, is doing okay. We ask that you continue to pray for him. For now, docs have decided to use chemotherapy to shrink the tumor and will revisit surgery later, if necessary. This is a safer route and they have had fabulous results with the meds that are used for treatment. Thanks for all your calls and posts. It means alot, as always, for us. Prays are ALWAYS the best thing that you can do for anyone sick and we (and all those on the prayer list) really do appreciate it.

We are working on the B & B for Kait's foundation so watch out for those who are out selling tickets! If anyone would like to help sell tickets, let me know (my email address was posted several updates ago) and I will contact you. We are really excited about this first one, because we will be able to give scholarships to the five area high schools in Kait's memory. How she would have liked that! She has sooo many friends and relatives from all the schools and she would liked being able to help someone. Watch the Herald this week, there is an article about the B & B and Kait in it.

Our prayer list grows sooo long. Thank God that we have Him!!! I am going to post the list and if I forget anyone, please post and let me know. Thank you for your prayers. People stop me all the time to ask that we add their family/friend and that they, too, are praying for the people on the list. I know you all praying for us got us through these last (almost) nine months since Kait went to Heaven.Whenever we feel alone, all we have to do is go to this site and see the love God has sent us through all of you. Thank you for that. So here is the new updated list...

Jenn (safe delivery for mom and baby), Jessica, Grace, Randy, Shirley, Mikey O., Cheryl, Lauren M., Lynn, Suzie, Mr. Hartle, Jordan, PopPop Rossi, Robert D., Alex, Richter/Ruark family, Stires, Thompson, Scholz, Bower, Lisa Thomas family, Karen B families and my Aunt Kathleen, who just lost her husband, Bob and her family.

Well, hopefully I'll be emailing real soon about Baby Anzelone! As soon as it happens, we'll get the info to you! God bless and...remember the reason for the Easter season!!! Praises to our Lord!

March 21, 2006
Hi everyone! Happy Spring! The temps sure don't feel like it, but I do have daffodils peeking through the soil in the front yard and several have bloomed. The trees have buds on them and there was even a little robin in the holly tree in front of my kitchen window this morning, singing away just like on "Mary Poppins."

Jenn is still here with her big tummy and "Baby A" is doing well. We are all just waiting for the day. JC and Jenn are still sorting through all the wonderful gifts they received for the baby shower. This child will not need anything but diapers her first year. I think she actually has more clothes than two women together!

Lauren is busy at work with the motel opening soon. We won't see much of her now until the fall, but she has plans on being at the birth...as an aunt should! I'm just hoping that she doesn't get any ideas about taking the baby out on that motorcycle for a little ride this summer (just kidding, Jenn)! Anyway, she has spoiled her neice so much already and she isn't even born yet!

My nephew, Billy, is at home right now. The docs sent him home on Saturday, 5 days after the surgery to drain the cyst on the tumor. He is feeling much better, but will still need the brain surgery soon. He sees the doc tomorrow and we may know better. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. We have had a miracle in that many of his symptoms improved with the draining of the cyst and did not leave any permanent damage! Thank you, Lord!

OK, final plans for the benefit for Kait's foundation. The date was changed due to unforeseen circumstances and I'm praying you all can still get here. Info is as follows:

KAITLIN ANZELONE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION BENEFIT
BEEF AND BEER

Saturday, May 6, 2006
6:00pm - 10:00pm
Michael's in Wildwood
No Smoking!
Tickets are $20.00

There will be food, prizes, an auction, pictures, live music!
After 10:00pm, there will be another live band for those who want to hang around for dancing and more socializing! I'll let you know about other plans (and directions) as we get closer. We are hoping to see everyone there again this year!

Please continue to pray for those on our list. Remember the Ruark/Richter family as this month is one year ago that their sweet Shelby went to Heaven. Also, as you could read on the website, Lisa's grandmom went home to be with the Lord. May He give her earthly family peace and comfort.

Please remember PopPop Rossi and our little "Mare" who is having ankle problems...and you all know the rest of the list. Thanks for staying in contact. I read the site everyday and look forward to your kind and caring words, even if it is only hi! Love to all and I wish us all His blessings!
