I visited her site for the first time many years ago I found her humor in the face a cancer something to smile at I continued to read with interest her recovery then signed one day an dshe had passed I felt like I had lost a friend and had not visdited the site again until today for some reason she has been on my mind and to my surprise i remebered the name of her site. It is so nice to see that you all have still kept her name alive what a wonderful person she must have been I wish i had known her.

Hi Kait! I know I haven't been on in a while but I wanted to let you in on a secret, you are going to be an aunt again! Crazy enough, I'm due on the same day you left us which makes me think of you more and more (not like I need any help doing that). I just read the comments section of the website and I was in tears and laughing out loud at work. People probably think I'm crazy!! Anyway, I miss you more than words can say and will never not have this nagging feeling like something or someone is missing. I just wanted you to know.

Its hard to believe its been 4 years since you been gone. You have changed my life and many lives for the good. You courage and spirit can never be matched. We became good friends and you taught me many things especially to live everyday like its your last. I still have the picture on construction paper that you gave me the day you left Cooper for good. It still hangs on my fridge and will continue because I will never forget you. I still walk by the picture of you in the hallway on North 9 and the memories and good times come right to mind. I really cannot believe it's been four years, Kait. I often think about how our roads crossed paths and how awful it was of how we came to know one another.

But cancer did teach us both so much. It changed what we wanted to turn our lives into when we were "back to normal". It changed how our family and friends spent their time from the end of 2004 into early 2005. It changed how we seen ourselves and the life that surrounded us.

But most importantly, cancer allowed me to get to know one of the bravest, funniest, beautiful and most talented people I've ever known. For that reason alone, I'd never wonder why. You, Kaitlin, taught me so much more than cancer ever could have.

Missing you just as much, if not more, today ...
